Northeastern University School of Law’s Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project (CRRJ) conducts research and supports policy initiatives on anti-civil rights violence in the United States between 1930 - 1970 and other miscarriages of justice of that period. CRRJ serves as a resource for scholars, policymakers, and organizers involved in various initiatives seeking justice for crimes committed.

This NuLawMap traces 57 of over 500 cases CRRJ has investigated. Over time, more cases will be added. Each marker contains a summary of the case, and links to publically available materials in the CRRJ Archive. A photograph of the victim is included where CRRJ was able to obtain. Using the timeline bar at the bottom of the map, visitors will see a visual representation of geographic occurences across the 40 year period.
